CHEF GIRISH DESAI
Chef Girish Desai’s journey in Goa started with the opening of his first venture The Kebab Corner in 2000. The restaurant specialized in authentic Nawabi cuisine with an open kitchen. This was followed by the urban dhaba concept of NH-17 Kitchen & Bar in Porvorim.
Having begun his career at the Taj Group Of Hotels in Mumbai in the year 1988, Chef Girish’s globetrotting culinary journey led him to a myriad of places across the world, including the Middle East with Kuwait Airways. His time in Singapore played a major role in shaping his skills. His endeavours in Goa with A Pastelaria in Hotel Mandovi introduced locals to exquisite mousse pastries and cheesecakes.
Chef Girish has over three decades of expertise in the industry, with his strong-willed dedication and innovative approach to food paving the way for Catpro. His ventures are renowned for meeting the highest international standards for hospitality and culinary excellence.
The brilliant culinary experts of Catpro are also behind the award-winning authentic Goan cuisine restaurant Kokni Kanteen 1972, and the management of F&B services for The Brasserie at Goa’s oldest club, Clube Tennis De Gaspar Dias in Panjim.
